Dear keen friends of OK. Video Festival,
OK. Video FLESH – 5th International Jakarta Video Festival has nearly ended. In this opportunity, we would like to share our joy and relief for once again we have been able to present this remarkable festival. It was always pleasurable to arrange and carry out this festival and, yes, the course was never an easy one. Thus we humbly apologize for any inconvenient and miscarriage which might have been presented.
The opening itself, on 6 October 2011, was attended by more than 400 people and continue to attract many visitors during its program, both at Galeri Nasional Indonesia as well as at several public spaces in Jakarta. This year’s festival proudly features more than 150 video works from more than 130 artists from 30 countries as well as 6 compilation program and collaboration with more than 15 partners. We truly hope that the festival could achieve its missions which were to grow its networking, promote young video artists, foster public awareness in video art and improve the growth of Indonesian video art scene.

GIF FESTIVAL 2011 adalah pameran seni rupa kontemporer tentang gambar (frame) bergerak atau yang biasa disebut dengan animasi sederhana (animated gif). Pameran ini akan dipresentasikan secara online dalam blog http://giffestival.tumblr.com yang secara khusus memuat karya-karya animated gif dari seniman muda Indonesia masa kini.
GIF FESTIVAL merupakan salah satu sesi pendukung Festival OK. Video yang berlangsung pada 7 – 17 Oktober 2011 di Galeri Nasional Indonesia.

SHORTLIST VIDEOS FROM MORE THAN 500 ENTRIES FROM OVER 50 COUNTRIES

OK. Video FLESH proudly announce shortlisted videos from this year’s open submission. OK. Video FLESH was the 5th Indonesia International Video Festival organized by ruangrupa.
All entries were remarkable videos which display not only creative and innovative video productions but also advanced video-making technologies. The 60-video shortlist includes entries from 50 different countries around the world.
OK. Video FLESH selected curators and staff screened more than 500 entries to determine top 60 videos and these videos will be screened during the festival on October 7 – 17, 2011.
Top 3 videos will be announced in Jakarta at the opening of the festival on October 6th, 2011. Information will be available on OK. Video’s website on the following day.
We would like to thank all who participated OK. Video FLESH Open Submission and encourage more video-makers to submit their works for OK. Video 2014.

VIDEO TERPILIH DARI 500 LEBIH ENTRI DAN 50 LEBIH NEGARA
OK. Video FLESH dengan bangga mengumumkan video-video terpilih dari kompetisi open submission tahun ini. OK. Video FLESH sendiri merupakan Festival Video Internasional di Jakarta yang ke-5, dan diselenggarakan oleh ruangrupa.
Seluruh video yang masuk adalah karya luar biasa yang tak hanya menunjukkan talenta produksi video yang kreatif dan inovatif namun juga teknologi pembuatan video yang kian canggih. 60 video terpilih meliputi video dari 50 negara dari seluruh penjuru dunia.
Panel kurator dan staf OK. Video FLESH menyaring lebih dari 500 video untuk menentukan 60 video terpilih, untuk selanjutnya diputar pada saat festival berlangsung (tanggal 7 – 17 Oktober 2011).
3 video pemenang akan diumumkan pada saat pembukaan festival, tanggal 6 Oktober 2011. Informasi akan tersedia secara online pada situs OK. Video keesokan harinya.
